As you can see from the above photos, John has been flying for most of his life. (Granted, he looks a little different in the left photo, since he is wearing sunglasses. We're not sure how he kept that shirt looking so good after all these years). John was 15 when he started learning to fly, soloed on his 16th birthday and received his private license on his 17th birthday. John still enjoys the tremendous feeling of freedom and the great views that come with flying. John also enjoys the challenge of trying to improve his abilities with every flight. John learned to fly at Sonoma County Airport's "Let's Fly" flight school, from instructor Phyllis Cantrell. John says about flying: “Sharing that magic with others while flying tours brings back those early memories. Helping others experience the satisfaction of learning to fly and add additional instrument and multi-engine ratings has been a great pleasure, and I hope to continue doing it for a long time.”
